POLY
Poly is a strong, durable and tear-resistant film laid to form a moisture barrier between the concrete and the soil below.
Builder’s film, commonly known as poly is used as a vapour barrier, which prevents moisture from entering concrete slabs. Depending on soil conditions you can purchase black 200mm poly for medium impact resistance on standard soil or orange 200mm poly for high impact resistance in the area of extreme soil movement. Builder’s film must be installed per Australian Standard AS 2870-2011.
